The Challenge
My Rapid Pay saw an opportunity in the international currency trading market. Chinese traders face complexity when trading overseas, due to Chinese governmental controls around purchasing foreign currencies. These difficulties could, however, be circumnavigated by offering a software platform that allowed for traders to purchase currencies through MRP.
I was asked to lead the design of a web application for MRP, that would be available in both English and simplified Chinese, and be available for desktop, tablet and mobile users.
The Solution
We ran discovery workshops with the MRP team to become fully immersed in the problem space. Subsequently, we created user personas and flow diagrams, as well as a wireframe prototype to help visualise the main user journeys in using the software.
The Result
The platform offers a simple yet feature-rich interface for trading in foreign currencies for Chinese merchants.
